Kit Includes:
- MC Valve: Pre-attached to the drinker for seamless integration.
- Valve Arm and Float: Easily adjustable to regulate water levels.
- Two Wing Nuts: Secure the assembly for reliable performance.
Pro Tips:
- Maintain at least ½ inch clearance between the float and the side of the drinker for smooth operation.
- Position the float closer or further from the valve to adjust shutoff force. Ensure proper clearance depending on the drinker model.
Once adjusted, replace the float cover to complete the setup. Your drinker is now ready to provide consistent hydration to your livestock.
How to Assemble and Adjust the Float and Arm Assembly:
The float and arm assembly are packaged separately to prevent wear during shipping. Attach the float arm to the valve using the included thumb screw, ensuring the grooves on the valve and float arm align correctly. The valve features coarse grooves on one side and fine grooves on the other; use the fine-groove side for the float arm.
Adjusting Water Levels:
- Loosen the thumb screws to position the float and arm.
- Adjust the arm so the valve shuts off when the water reaches the desired level (typically 1–1½ inches below the top of the trough).
- To speed up adjustments, remove the drain plug, let the water level drop, and observe the valve's operation as the trough refills. Repeat as needed to achieve the correct level.
